These 3 images each show the principle of Pattern. The first shows it through the holes in the bench that continuously repeat. The second shows it through the bars in the fence, each one repeated an exact number of inches apart. Finally, the third shows it via the holes in the storm drain.

Symmetry 3 - Pacific Gas and Electric, San Ramon Sidewalk

These 3 images each show the principle of symmetry. The first shows it through a lack of symmetry, there is a person only one one side of the image. The second shows it through both symmetry and asymmetry, the banners are reflected on both sides of the pole but they are different designs. Finally, the third shows it via symmetry. Both sides of the sidewalk appear virtually the same.
